BIEDENHARN - SHOTWELL
Mr. Malcolm Biedenharn left this morning for Chicago, Illinois, where his marriage to Miss Francesca Shotwell will take place at the Edgewater Beach Hotel on the 22nd of September of 1923. The wedding will be on of quiet distinction but attended with much pomp and ceremony. Miss Emma Louise Biedenharn, who accompanied her brother to Chicago this morning will be one of the bride's maids. Mr. Biedenharn is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Biedenharn of this city and is generally prominent in younger social circles. He is affiliated with his father in business and is regarded as one of Monroe's most promising young business men. Miss Shotwell is the lovely young daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Allison Shotwell of Chicago, former residents of Monroe. A wide circle of friends are awaiting her return to the city and the occasion will be marked by several brilliant social affairs which are being planned in her honor. Mr. & Mrs. Biedenharn will be at home with Mr. & Mrs. Joseph A. Biedenharn of River Front until their own home is completed.

The following announcement appearing in the Chicago Herald will prove of interest to the friends of Mr. Malcolm Biedenharn and his bride of recent date. The marriage of Miss Francesca Shotwell, daughter of Mr. & Mr. Robert Allison Shotwell of 6050 Ingleside Avenue, and Malcolm S. Biedenharn of Monroe, Louisiana, will take place at 4 o'clock this afternoon at the Edgewater Beach Hotel. The bride will be attended by Mrs. Thaddeus Montgomery of Brookhaven, Mississippi, as Matron of Honor; Miss Phyllis Gothwaite as Maid of Honor, and Miss Emma Louise Biedenharn and Miss Virginia Oreus as bridesmaids. Stanley Stewart will serve as Best Man and the ushers will be Bernard Biedenharn and her uncle Thomas Jefferson Cowie of Washington, D. C. paymaster general of the NAVY and Rear Admiral
