Mrs. Marie Megargee Connolly of 553 Blue Hills Avenue, died Friday morning at her home after a brief illness. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, a daughter of the late S. Edwin and Marie Preaut Megargee. She was a member of St. Justin’s Guild.
She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Vincent P. Fagan of Hartford; six sisters, Miss Ann Megargee of Brooklyn, NY, Miss Mildred Megargee and Miss Agnes Megargee, both of Hartford, Mrs. Albert Orme of Falls Church, VA, Mrs. W.W. Wilkinson of Brooklyn, NY and Mrs. Bertrand Tunnell of Rosemont, PA; four brothers, S. Edwin Megargee Jr., J. Wilfrid Megargee, and Lawrence Megargee, all of Brooklyn, NY and Henry Preaut Megargee of Summit, NJ, and five grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Ahern Funeral Home, 180 Farmington Avenue Monday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a requiem mass at St. Justin’s Church at 10 o’clock. Burial in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ahern Funeral Home, Hartford, Saturday after 2 p.m.
