Raymond Clarence Waldman was born June 17, 1928, in Platte County to Edward and Anna (Miksch) Waldman. He attended school through the 8th grade at Rural District No. 11 school. He married Pearl Hilmer on February 10, 1951 at Papillion, Neb. He lived his life time in Platte County where he was engaged in farming. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
Ray died January 15, 1979, in the Columbus Community Hospital after a four-month illness at the age of 50.
He was survived by his wife, children (Clarence Waldman and Jodene Caruthers), his mother, three brothers (Lloyd, Walter and Harold Waldman) and a sister, Evelyn Weber.
