She was united in marriage to Victor Weber on October 3, 1939. They farmed until 1947. Evelyn went to work at the Night and Day Restaurant until going to work at Becton Dickinson for whom she worked for 20 years until her retirement in 1983. Evelyn was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Columbus. She enjoyed sewing and quilting.
