Our beloved mother and grandma, nearly 83 years of age, passed away August 23, 2018 surrounded by family at home.
She graduated from Granite High School. Donna married her sweetheart, Henry Kay Bateman on August 19, 1952 in the Salt Lake Temple. Widowed at age 37, and raised five “exceptional” children on her own. She served faithfully in many positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a spiritual giant who spent her life serving others. Best known and loved as “M&M” Grandma. Donna donated to many charities over the years. She loved spending time with family and friends whom she loved dearly and with the same passion for all others.
She is survived by her children , Camille (Doug), Byron (Teresa), Scott (Cindy), Sheri (Larry), and Janet; 15 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters; 4 brothers; and many friends. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Henry Kay; parents, Ralph and Elsie Player; and two grandsons, Austin and Jared.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 27th, 11:00 a.m. at Willow Crest Ward building, 5980 South 1300 West, where viewings will be held Sunday, August 26th, 6:00-8:00 p.m. and also prior to services from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Interment, West Jordan City Cemetery.
