Nada Avis Kunz Duersch, 92, of Idaho Falls, passed away August 20, 2018, in Idaho Falls of causes incident to age.

She was born on April 27, 1926, in Cedron, Teton, Idaho, to Ellis Kunz and Jessie Thompson Kunz. She attended grade school in Cedron, high school in Victor for two years, and then two years in Driggs where she graduated from Teton High School in May of 1944. She also attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho, for one semester.

She married Alma Joseph Duersch in the Logan, Utah Temple on January 8, 1945. They made their home in Alta, Wyoming, where they raised seven children, Nadine (Dave) Powell, Wanda (Doug) Mohr, Robert (Lynette Butler) Duersch, Ronald (Linda Keely) Duersch, Ann (Jeff) Saxton, Darlene (Orin) Pead, and Nolan (Judy Lemaire) Duersch.

They farmed and had a dairy in the Alta area which they worked for the next 60 years before her husband fell ill. He passed away in October of 2009. She devoted herself to doing genealogy and made it and temple attendance a priority. She served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from June 2011 to April 2013 at the Family History Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alma Duersch; two sisters, Theda Peterson and Dorothy McBride; a brother, Morris Russell Kunz; and a granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 1, 2018, at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon Rd) in Ammon. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 7-8:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services, both at the funeral home. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. in the Pratt Cemetery in Alta, Wyoming.
