Amanda A. Nightingale, 99, died August 16, 2018, at Pine Village, Moundridge. She was born March 1, 1919, at the Alta Mill in rural Harvey County, to Jacob B. and Mary (Friesen) Stucky. Amanda was a homemaker and before retiring and was a custodian at the Hertzler Clinic. She was a member of First Mennonite Church, Halstead.
On June 25, 1944, she married John C. Nightingale in Moundridge. They shared 51 years of marriage before he died on January 16, 1996.
Amanda is survived by: sons, Dr. Conrad Nightingale and wife Nancy of Bandera, TX, Bruce Nightingale and wife Larisa of Lawrence, James Nightingale and wife Debbie of rural Halstead; sister, Linda Evans of Portland, OR; sister-in-law, Trudy Stucky of Hutchinson; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; siblings, Harold, Eldo, Nahida Miller, Freida Pauls, Richard, Esther Wagner, Lorraine, Al; and son, Tim Nightingale.
