John B. “J.B.” Terry age 94, of Oneida, Tennessee, departed this life on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at his home.

He was born May 7, 1924 in Scott County, Tennessee to the late Carnellon Terry and Martha Smith Terry.

He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Dolores Laxton Terry; son, Ronald Dennis Terry; grandson, Zachary Aaron Anderson; brothers, James A. Terry, William “Bill” Terry, Carnellon Terry, Roscoe Terry, Paul D. Terry and Floyd Terry; sister, Annis Laity; father and mother-in-law, William Esau Laxton and Mertie Laxton.

He is survived by his children, Deborah Ann Stevens, John Dwayne Terry and wife Cassie, Dilbert Terry and wife Angie; (12) grand children, George Darren Terry, Wendy Kay Carroll, Jacqueline Denise Stevens, Terry Shannon Stevens, John Dwayne Terry, Jr., Christopher Aaron Terry, Joshua David Terry, Nathan Andrew Terry, Moriah Dawn Calloway, JoBen Terry, Bethany Grace Terry, Joanna Elisabeth Terry; (11) great grand children; daughter-in-law, Brenda Kay Terry; sisters, Hazel Wood, Lillie Glavich; several special nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 4:00 P.M. until time of funeral service at 6:00 P.M., Sunday Evening, August 19, 2018 in the Chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home in Huntsville with Pastor Dilbert Terry and Bro. Nathan Terry Officiating.

Music will be provided by his Church Family. Graveside service will be at 2:00 P.M., Monday Afternoon, August 20, 2018, in the Laxton Cemetery in the Buffalo Community with Military Honors provided by the American Legion Post #136.

Pallbearers will be George Darren Terry, Terry Shannon Stevens, Christopher Aaron Terry, Joshua David Terry, Nathan Andrew Terry and JoBen Terry.
