Thomas Clayton "Tom" Short, 67, of Inman, SC, passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Born in Portsmouth, VA, on December 23, 1950, son of the late John Thomas Short and Betty Delores Fairchild Short Gesling; raised by his grandmother, Fannie Frances Satterfield Short; husband of the late Joyce Sharon Tinsley Short who passed away in February 2014.

Worked for Milliken for over 20 years and was the owner/operator of Short Haul Trucking.

A 32nd Degree Master Mason, Shriner and member of the Spartanburg Shrine Club.

Survived by his daughter, Angela 'Angie' Gizara (Mike) of Suffolk, VA; granddaughter, Samantha 'Sami' Gizara; brother-in-law, Douglas Tinsley (Martha) of Spartanburg; five nieces and nephews.

The family received friends Monday, August 20, 2018 at Seawright Funeral Home from 10:00 - 11:00 AM.

Memorial service followed at 11:00 AM in the Seawright Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Champ Champion officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials could be made to: Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 Faris Rd. Greenville, SC 29605.
