Leona was the wife of Earl Barnes and the father of Berneil Barnes Eby and Beatrice Barnes Brown.

Grandma was, what I would call, a typical farm woman. She was forever getting upset with us for chasing her geese and chickens and wouldn't hesitate to use a switch when needed. She lived on a farm on Wishkah Road located about 10 miles from Aberdeen. We had many fun times on her farm; picking apples, cutting wood, baling hay, feeding the cows and running in the woods. Good-bye grandma. I wasn't really as bad as you sometimes thought I was. I hope you're happy with God.
