He worked as an electrician at Pillsbury Mills and retired after 40 years of service. In 1965, he founded and operated 5 Star Mobile Home Supply until his son, Dave took over the business. Bob enjoyed puttering in the yard and raisin pie, which he enjoyed on his 90th birthday.
He will be greatly missed by his sons, Bruce Maddox of Rochester and David (Robin) Maddox of Rochester; grandchildren, Jeremy (Jesse) Maddox of Rochester, Shannon Maddox, Ryan (Amy) Maddox, Jarod (Deven) Maddox, Tara (Joe) Reece all of Springfield; great grandchildren, Cole, Libby, Avery, Macy, Mason Maddox; sister-in-law Mary Maddox of Springfield; several nieces and nephews.
His family will greet friends from 10am -11am, Wednesday, July 25, with a funeral ceremony starting at 11am. All services will be held at Staab Polk Memorial Home, Chatham, IL, with Paula Staab Polk as Funeral Celebrant. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
