Her Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Maquoketa on Saturday, July 14, 2018. A visitation will be held prior to the service at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Saturday from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at St. Andrew Cemetery in Sibley, Iowa at a later date. Helen Regina Dickey was born on April 13, 1924 in Ashton, Iowa to Thomas L. and Helen (Becker) Dickey. She married John Raymond Moet on February 19, 1944 at St. Andrew Church in Sibley, Iowa. He passed away on March 16, 1951. She then married Harlan Miller who passed away in 1967. She married Donald Manning who passed away in 1982.
Helen worked in Food Service for years. She did the Andrew Hot Lunch Program in Andrew, Iowa and then went onto work 17 years at the Maquoketa Care Center.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Sacred Heart Guild. She loved reading books from the library, all kinds of sports and NASCAR races. She especially loved her family and spending time with her two daughters and their spouses, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memories are her daughters Karen (Paul) Portz of Maquoketa, Judy (Sean) Dailey of Manchester, six grandchildren and their spouses; Kathy (Troy) Marshall, Deb (Todd) Giesemann, Paula (Jorge) Zamora, Kim (Lynn) Lewis, Michelle Wright, Scott (Lyndsie) Schepers, seven great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, six brothers and two sisters.
Memorials may be directed to her family in her honor.
