Michael Stanley Gentry, 60, was born in Germany, February 7, 1958. Augusta was his home for the past fifty-eight years until his death, June 26, 2018.

Michael was expert at small engine repair, and he was employed at Jenkins Ford Motor Tractor Co. as Parts Manager until he was involved in an auto accident in 1986 which left him crippled and brain injured. After a long hospitalization and rehabilitation he was fiercely determined to live independently again. With the help of his family, Easter Seals, Augusta Workshop for the Handicapped, and Walton Independent Living, he was able to maintain his own apartment and was gainfully employed by Bilo at Daniel Village and Southgate until more recent years.

He is survived by his two children, Diana Gentry, who resides in Indianapolis, IN, and Daniel Gentry, Augusta, GA; his adoptive father, Leon Gentry, Evans, GA, and an aunt, Inge Machis, Benton, AR. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gerda Gentry.

Michael had ardent faith in the the God of the Bible and in the hope held forth in the Bible of the resurrection of the dead.

Interment will be in Westover Memorial Park with a private memorial service.
