Shirley Moody, 88, of Blaine, formerly of Baxter, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018. Margaret "Shirley" Moody was born July 5, 1929, in Emerson, NE, the daughter of Frank and Edna (Inun) Gottsch. In 1945, she married Marn Moody. The couple moved to the Baxter area in 1956. Shirley retired from JC Penny's. She enjoyed bowling, playing Bunco, gardening and sewing. She was very active at Park United Methodist and volunteered whenever she could. Shirley also liked to travel and spend time with her Birthday Club.

She is survived by her daughter, Sheryl Moody; grandchildren, Maralyn, Christine, Jennifer, Julie Ann, Brenna, Tinna, Tracy, and Tony; 17 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren; sister, Edith; brother, Steven; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marn; twin sons, Merlyn and Marlyn; and granddaughter, Lorna.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Park United Methodist Church in Brainerd. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel In Baxter, MN.
