"Kaye" was born in Clayton to Glendon and GLadys "Faye" (Pettitt) Elmore. She was a 1959 graduate of Clayton High School. "Kaye" married Jon S. "Jack" Alexander Dec. 5, 1959, he preceded her in death Feb. 20, 2011. She had been a teachers aide for the Mill Creek Schools during the 1970's, a salesperson for Young Jewelers in Plainfield, Baby World & Teens at Castleton, as well as for Richard Bennett Furniture in Danville before retiring in 2000. "Kaye" was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clayton, and a former member of Clayton Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star and the Mill Creek Tri Kappa Sorority.

Survivors include her mother "Faye" Elmore - Clayton, children, Jon S. Alexander, Jr. - Danville, Judith Lynn Pfaff - Louisville, Ky., grandchildren, Autumn Michelle Alexander, Scott "Boone" Alexander, Douglas E. Pfaff, Lauren E. Pfaff, and a sister, Lula F. (Richard) Armstrong - Plainfield. "Kaye" was preceded in death by her father, Glendon, twin sister, Gaye Elmore Brown, and a brother, Samuel "Sammie" Elmore.
