Angie Sisneros, a resident of Las Vegas, N.M. for the past six years and former resident of Springer, N.M., was called home by the Lord on Wednesday, April 17, 2007. She passed away in the arms of her loving family.
She was born in Wagon Mound, N.M. to Juan Chavez and Celina Sandoval Chavez.

She was united in marriage at the Santa Clara Church in Wagon Mound, N.M. on May 16, 1962 to Manuel A. Sisneros, Sr.

She was a homemaker and Avon representative. She enjoyed crocheting and watching soap operas.

A lifelong Catholic, she was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Las Vegas, N.M.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Juan and Celina Chavez; brothers: Johnny Chavez, Lawrence Chavez, Pete Chavez, Jr., Antonio Chavez, and Manuel Nerio Sandoval and maternal grandparents: Manuel and Eufelia Sandoval.

She is survived by her husband: Manuel A. Sisneros, Sr. of the family home in Las Vegas, N.M.; son: Manuel Sisneros, Jr. of Albuquerque; daughters: Sandra Sisneros and Doris Valdez both of Las Vegas; Virginia Archuleta and husband George of Rio Rancho, Lorrie Archuleta and husband Salvador of Las Vegas and Angel Sisneros and Don Estrada both of Albuquerque; sisters: Priscilla Martinez, Susie Alcon and husband Zeke all of Wagon Mound, N.M.; Betty Martinez and George of Albuquerque, Dorothy Chavez of Ordway, Colorado, Bernilda Chavez and Eufelia Chavez both of Colorado; sister-in-law: Sofia Garcia of Albuquerque; grandchildren: Naomi Silvas, Cassandra Silvas, Crystal Valdez, Kristianna Valdez, Gabriel Valdez, Jared Sisneros, Manuel Sisneros, III, Joseph Archuleta, Darren Archuleta, Marissa Archuleta, James Archuleta and Lucas Archuleta; great-grandchildren: Esteban Silvas, Nevach Silvas, Nicholas Silvas, Vidal Estrada, Ariana Estrada and Christopher Cordova; numerous nieces and nephews, whom she held special in her heart along with other family and friends.

Rosary devotional services will be conducted this evening at 7 p.m. at the Santa Clara Church in Wagon Mound. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at the Santa Clara Church in Wagon Mound with Father George V. Salazar as celebrant. Interment will follow at the Santa Clara Cemetery in Wagon Mound with the following serving as casket bearers: Jared Sisneros, Manuel Sisneros, III, Joseph Archuleta, Darren Archuleta, Raymond Armijo and Anthony Martinez. Serving as honorary bearers will be all her remaining grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She will lie in state at the Rogers Chapel today from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. where family and friends may call.
