Illnes of Two Weeks Fatal to Samual Cottrell

Samuel Hager Cottrell,81,in Failing Harth for the past year and in Critical condition for two weeks,died Saturday at home on Anderson Street Piqua.

Born in Versailles,December 6,1866,He was the Son ot Rev.George and Caroline York Cottrell.He had lived in Piqua for 25 years.His First Wife Luella Yagles,died in January-1919.Later he married Almirn Mowrey Cottrell,who presceded him in death in 1947.

Surviving are three daughters

Mrs Harry(Erma)Mayer Covington,Ohio
Mrs Sylvia Cain Phillipsburg,Ohio

Harry Cottrell of Piqua
Six stepchildren;11 grandchildren;4 greatgrandchildren;Three SistersMrs Clara Weaver of Dayton,Mrs Lydia Hageman Lima.Mrs Janie Hole Versailles,and a brother Daniel of Springfield.he was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.

The Rev,Bryce Nichols conducted the services Monday at 2 p.m. at the Madison Home for the funerals,Piqua witl burial in Greenlawn Cemetery,Vesailles
