Delmar Lamar Pedersen, 75, our beloved dad, grandpa, and brother, was reunited with his sweetheart, Leila, May 3, 2002.

He was born Nov 24, 1926 in Riverton, UT to Chris S. and Nevada Butterfield Pedersen. He married Leila Rose Petersen in West Jordan, UT and their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple Jan 25, 1966.

Leila preceded Delmar in death Sept 30, 2001. Delmar was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy. He worked at Lark Mine for 25 years until it closed and then for Kennecott Copper, retiring after 12 years. He also worked as a Loss Prevention Officer at Super Target in Sandy. He was an active member of the LDS Church. Delmar took great pride in his yard and greenhouse and was proud of his ability in planting and growing vegetables and flowers from seed. A very patient man, he devoted his life to taking care of Leila. Dad's favorite saying was, "Let your conscience be your guide."

Survivors: children, Gary (Betty), Vicki Malstrom (Frank), Craig (Anita), Lisa Beglarian (Kim); favorite dog, "Sissy Rose"; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Lawrence and Earl; Bonnie Kilgrow, Helen Schroeder, Linda Boulton. Preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Services will be Tues. May 7, 2002, 12 noon, Midvale 8th Ward chapel, 8350 S. Jackson St (250 W). Friends may call at the church Tues. 10:30-11:45 a.m. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
