Joe Ivan Walker, 70, of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee passed away on May 19, 2018.
He was born in Rock Island, Illinois on May 19, 2018 to William Welborn "Web" Walker and Helen Louise (Watson) Walker. Joe loved to play golf and loved sports. He was a huge St. Louis Cardinals and Boston Celtics fan. Joe especially enjoyed watching Larry Bird play basketball. He was a carefree guy that never met a stranger and always treated life as a party.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Web Walker in 1989 and Helen Louise Walker in 2005; brother, Robert "Bob" Walker in 1998.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sue Walker; children, Kristin (Steve) Blevins, Todd Walker and Katrina (Sean) Kelley; grandchildren, Mason, Max, Kayla, Emily, Phoebe and Kenna; brothers, Gary (Becky) Walker and Steve (Micky) Walker; many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 12 pm to 3 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel. A Celebration of Life Service will be held after visitation on Thursday, May 24 at 3 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 6221 Shallowford Rd #102, Chattanooga, TN 37421 or to Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Dr, Chattanooga, TN 37416.
Arrangements are held by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
