Services will be Tuesday (April 17) at 2 p.m. at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. The Rev. Laurence Davis will officiate. Burial will be in Grand Island Cemetery.
Visitation was to be Monday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Lorance was born Jan. 9, 1908, at Stratton, the son of John and Sarah Lorance. When he was a child, the family moved to Grand Island.
He married Julia Schwartz on July 20, 1938, at Central City. They lived in Grand Island where Mr. Lorance was a carpenter at Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant until retiring in 1973.
He was a member of Eagles Aerie No. 378 and was a Golden Eagle.
Survivors include his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Harry (Leann) Clegg and Mrs. Garry (Pauline) Bolles, both of Grand Island; a son, William R., Jr. of Denver, Colo., eight grandchildren and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers.
