Christine Embich, 92, Bellefonte nurses' aide
STATE COLLEGE — Christine M. Embich, 92, of 139 W Main St., Rebersburg, died Friday, Oct. 9, 1998 in Centre Community Hospital, State College.
Born Oct. 2, 1906, Carroll, she was the daughter of the late Charles Franklin Harbach and Ida Ohnmeiss Harbach. She and Henry Embich were married March 10, 1931. He preceded her in death. She was a member of God's Missionary Church at Wolfe's Store. Employed at Bellefonte Hospital as a nurses' aide, Mrs. Embich served her community helping friends and neighbors. She is survived by a son, Charles F. Bennett of Rebersburg; a daughter, Jane Lemmons of Montgomery, Texas; four grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters.

EMBICH — Funeral services were held 10 a.m. Monday morning in the F.B. Welker Funeral Home, Main and Water streets, Loganton, for Christine M. Embich, 92, of 139 W. Main St., Rebersburg, who died Friday, October 9, 1998 in Centre Community Hospital, State College. The Rev. Howard P. Watson of God's Missionary Church, Wolfe's Store, officiated. Interment was held in Mt. Union Cemetery, Carroll. Friends were received Sunday night in the funeral home. F.B. Welker Funeral Home, Loganton.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Embich were tendered an old time serenading and house warming Friday, having just recently moved to the T.O. Miller farm on Loganton R.D. No. 1. Music was furnished during the evening by Mr. and Mrs. M.C. Matthews and Harry and Warren Witmyer. Refreshments were served to the following guests: Mr. and Mrs. Ed Embick, Mr. and Mrs. Sharon Limbert and daughter, Christine, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Limbert, of Altoona; Mr. and Mrs. M.C. Matthews, Mr. and Mrs. L.M. Stover, and daughter Julia, Mr. and Mrs. John Welsh, Mrs. Charles Klobe and sons, Willard and Fred, Mrs. Ida Harbach (formerly: Ida Ohnmeiss), Mr. and Mrs. Earle Jeffries, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Embick, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer [W.] Embick and children, Levi, Hazel, Ralph and Wanda, Dean Embick, Charles Bennett, Carl Snook, Allen Lupold, Mary Wolford, Violet Lamey, Freda Embick, Ruth Embick, Martha Embick, Harry and Warren Witmyer and Fred Harbach. At midnight, the above party followed Mr. and Mrs. Jeffries to their home and gave them serenading.
