William Taylor Sullivan died at his home near Bethlehem Church on Wednesday June 12. In ill health for a number of months, he lacked one month of being 79 years of age.
He was united in marriage on December 24, 1896 to Laura Gentry who preceded him in death in 1910. To this union five children were born, three of whom survive, as follows: Mrs. Nellie Atchley of Russell Springs, Elbert Sullivan of Shelbyville, Indiana, and Mrs. Gusta Smith of Russell Springs.
On March 18, 1911, he was united in marriage to Sallie Bryant, who survives. To this union twelve children were born, eight of whom survive, as follows: Mrs. Dorothy Kell of Louisville, Rufus Sullivan of Russell Springs, Bert Sullivan of Painesville, Ohio, Mrs. Nina Rooks of Indianapolis, Lester Sullivan of Indianapolis, Mrs. Lavona Wade of Perry, Ohio, and Mrs. Edith Hadley of Indianapolis.
Mr. Sullivan professed faith in Christ at the age of 18 and united with the Bethlehem Church, where he remained a member until his death.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Bethlehem Church, conducted by Bro. Moxley and Bro. Otis Wolford. Burial was in the church cemetery with Rippetoe Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements. Has sons acted as pallbearers.
