Brenda Jolene Bonds Dean, 73, died Saturday, March 31, 2018, in Abilene. A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2018, at Hamlin Memorial Cemetery, directed by Adams-Graham Funeral Home of Anson.
Born August 21, 1944 in Jones County, Jolene was a daughter of the late Joe and Charlene (Rich) Bonds, Jr. She graduated from Hamlin High School and later married Joe Allen Dean March 6, 1988. Jolene farmed many years with her father and was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Jolene was preceded in death by her parents, two sons (Terry Joe Lawlis and Ricky Lawlis) two uncles (L. C. Bonds and Jess Richard Bonds) cousins (Jim Bonds and Tommy Bonds).
Survivors include her husband, Joe Allen Dean of Hamlin; two step-daughters, Carole Fields (and husband, Barry) of Groom and Connie McLain (and husband, Robert) of Channing; one aunt, Martha Lynn Phillips (and husband, Tommy); cousins, George Bonds (and wife, Candice) of Hamlin, David Bonds (and wife, Gena) of San Angelo and Patrick Bonds; and numerous nieces and nephews.
