He was born May 28, 1962, in Hamlin. He attended Hamlin schools and graduated form Early High School in 1981.
He was a resident of Hamlin since 1982 and was a hair stylist at Object D'Art Salon. He was a baptist.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Jolene and Joe Allen Dean of Hamlin; his father and stepmother, Calvin "Buddy" and Rita Lawlis of Levelland; a grandmother, Charlene Bonds of Hamlin; a great-grandmother, Roba Rich of Mount Vernon; a step-brother, Brent McClure of Lubbock; and two step-sisters, Carole Fields of Groom and Connie Jo McLain of Channing.
