Alta Meissner "Tiny"; Our beautiful, sweet and much loved mother, grandmother, great- grandmother and great-great-grandmother, Alta "Tiny"; Meissner, age 84, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2007, in Taylorsville, Utah.
Mom was born June 24, 1922 in Murray, Utah to Luke Morris and Tracy Green. While attending Murray High she met her sweetheart and best friend, Don, and they were married in 1939.
Mom was an excellent seamstress who, while we were kids, designed costumes for dance recitals. She used her artistic talents designing and sewing purses, building and finishing miniature homes with Dad and other crafts. She loved golfing, bowling and had a passion for gardening. Mom had a special spirit for life and always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. She loved being with her family and friends and will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Alta is survived by her children, Jerry (Faye), Pat (Neil); grand-children, Steven, Jerry, Jr. (Rebecca), Jason, Cord (Hillary), Paulo, Jesse, Michelle (Chris); nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; twin sister, Afton and sister LaVonne; brothers, Rue and LaVelle; son-in-law, Al.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don; daughter, Janus; grandson, Jaime; brothers, Ben and Don; sister, Carol.
