William B. Beemer 73 of Harrison passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018 at MidMichigan Health-Midland. William was born May 1, 1944 in Harrison, the son of Arthur and Thressia Cleo (Bailey) Beemer. Bill graduated from Harrison Community Schools in 1962. On June 18, 1969 in Harrison, Bill was united in marriage to the former Caralie Sue Peyton. On December 6, 2003, Caralie preceded Bill in death after thirty four years of marriage. On September 29, 2006 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Bill was united in marriage to the former Toni L. Hill.
Mr. Beemer began his working career in the oil fields, then working a short period of time with General Motors Corporation, Fisher Body Division. In 1964, Arthur Beemer, Bill Beemer and Fred Beemer founded and formed Beemers Sand and Gravel of Harrison. Eventually Bill took over the family business and was the owner-operator until 1997, when he semi-retired and his son, Cody Beemer took over ownership. Bill continued to work with Cody and was considered the public relations representative, as Bill enjoyed visiting with the customers. Jesus said that if you have faith, you can move mountains. Bill Beemer did move mountains in his lifetime in the family business. Bill has scooped, pushed and hauled so much sand, gravel and soil that if it were in one place at one time, the volume would be mountains. Mr. Beemer enjoyed hunting, buying and selling treasures and spending time with his grandchildren, which he considered to be his greatest passion. Because Bill loved his family and friends more deeply and strongly than he had words to express, he will be missed greatly by many. Bill was a federally licensed miner, a member of Clare County Voiture 767 40 et 8 of Temple, Fraternal Order Eagles Aerie #3541 of Harrison and Gladwin Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #287.
Surviving Mr. Beemer is his wife of eleven years, Mrs. Toni L. Beemer of Harrison, one son, Cody William Beemer and wife Misty of Harrison, three daughters; Julie Ann Earl of Harrison, Melissa Sue Blumerich and husband Richard of Harrison and Lisa Jo Donley and Jay Ramsey of Harrison, two step-daughters; Carmen Tabb of Grand Rapids and Altheria Green and husband Lou of Baltimore, Maryland, one step-son, Alan Johnson of Harrison, nine grandchildren; Tiffany Earl, Sheena Earl, Amy Blumerich, William Blumerich, Selena Blumerich, Krystal Tiltman and husband Mark, Royce Beemer, Brennen Beemer and Caralie Beemer, eleven step-grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, four step-great grandchildren, one brother, Fred Beemer and wife Diane of Harrison, two sisters in law; Mary J.
