Merle Billips, 52, of Abbs Valley, Va., passed away Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield, W.Va.
Born in Bluefield, W.Va., he was the son of the late Carl Rufus Billips and Dorothy Louise Billips. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Carl Delbert Billips; and one sister, Wilma K. Billips.
Survivors include one daughter, Nakisha Billips of Gastonia, N.C.; one sister, Norma Jean Short and husband Charlie of Bluefield, W.Va.; four brothers, Kim Billips of Abbs Valley, Va., Tracy Billips of Abbs Valley, Va., Kelly Billips of Bluefield, Va. and Dallas Billips of Galax, Va.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday April 20, 2011 at Maplewood Cemetery in Tazewell, Va. with Pastor Johnny Elmore officiating.
Internment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Tazewell, Va
