Tracy Lane Billips, 63, of Abbs Valley, VA passed away Tuesday August 15, 2017 at Tazewell Community Hospital in Tazewell, VA. Born in Bluefield, WV he was the son of the late Carl Rufus and Dorothy Louise Billips. Tracy was employed as a coalminer for many years.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one sister Wilma Kay Billips and two brothers Delbert and Merle Billips.
Survivors include his daughter Crystal Billips Williams of New Orleans; son Jeffery Lane Billips of Tennessee; sister Norma Jean Short and husband Charlie of Bluefield, WV; brothers, Kelly Billips and Kim Billips both of Abbs Valley, VA and Dallas Billips and wife Ronda of Galax, VA; also long time companion and friend Shirley Green.
Funeral services will be held Friday August 18, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Rodriguez Funeral Home in Pocahontas, VA with Rev. Carlos Hess officiating. Interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Tazewell, VA. Friends may call Friday August 18, 2017 from 1pm to 2pm at the Rodriguez Funeral Home in Pocahontas, VA. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
