They were the parents of Irwin, Joseph, Jennie, Birdella, Delilah (Hazen), and Nannie Mae. She died on October 11, 1929 in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania.

He leaves one brother. James A. VanGorder of Slipperyrock township. The deceased was an uncle of Miss Jennie Aiken of Pine street, and a brother-in-law of Mrs. John Hyde, of this city.
