After long suffering from cancer of the stomach, Johann Frederick
Schmidt died at his home on upper Monroe Ave. Friday. Deceased was born
in Zachow, Pommerania, Germany, in 1852(sic). He came to Two Rivers from
there thirty-three years ago and has resided here since. He was an
employee of the Hamilton Company. Besides his widow he is survived by
two sons, Reinholdt of Ludington and Henry and three daughters, Mrs.
Peter Steinhauer and Esther of this city and Mrs. John Kaufman of
Ludington. The funeral was held from St. John's Lutheran church Sunday.
