Johnnie Charles Scott, age 92, died February 18, 2018 at Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston.

He was born December 20, 1925 in Piggott, Arkansas to the late John Rueben and Laddie (Austin) Scott.

Johnnie was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and worked as an electrician before retiring. He was a member of the Henry Meldrum American Legion Post 114 in Sikeston.

Survivors include his companion of thirty years, Peggy Busby of Sikeston; one son, John Russell "Rusty" Scott of Benton, Kentucky; and one grandson, John Crawford of Sikeston.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Feb. 21, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.

Graveside services will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri at 2:00 p.m. with full military honors.
