Early Life: Helen was born January 2, 1938, in Murray, Utah, to Gustave Alben Lundskog and Lillie Marie Gillen Lundskog. Helen grew up on her family farm in Murray with six siblings. She graduated from Murray High School.
Life’s Work | Service | Interests: She attended both the University of Utah and Brigham Young University. On December 28, 1960, Helen married Darrell R. Eddington in the Salt Lake LDS Temple They recently celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary. They are true examples of unselfish love and devotion to their ten children and extended family. She loved doing genealogy but would not let her loved ones call it her hobby. It was her life's work. She was very organized in documenting family histories, learning about ancestors and sharing special stories and photos with everyone. Helen loved to travel and enjoyed family vacations. She loved gardening with her husband, as well as sewing, baking and hosting. She served by intuition, knowing exactly what was needed and when. She was talented and artistic, showcasing her abilities with gorgeous oil paintings, lovely food presentations and beautiful handwriting. She dedicated her life to our Savior Jesus Christ through her exemplary service as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She magnified all church callings and worked her way into the hearts of many church members, neighbors and friends. She and Darrell served two LDS missions together: first in Izmir, Turkey, and then in Toronto, Canada. She will be greatly missed by many. Helen Lundskog Eddington passed away peacefully on February 14, 2018, in her home surrounded by family. She was 80 years old.
Survived By: Her husband, Darrell; children: Diane (Günther) Haidenthaller, Linda (Bryan) Thompson, Paul (Emily) Eddington, Susan (Jeff) LeBaron, Lori (Benj) Krogh, Ray (Jill) Eddington, Janet (Rhett) Wayman, Marie (Michael) Jensen, Kathy (Paul) Huntsman and Jodi (Jason) Jensen; 59 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters: Gay Sherrow, Afton Richardson and Margie Atkinson; and sisters-in-law: Mary, Gail and Shirlene Lundskog.
Preceded In Death By: Her parents; brothers: Elry, Parley and Elmo; and three grandchildren: Gus Carlisle, Bryan Eddington and Rose Marie Jensen.
