Martha C. Gunn, wife of F. B. Gunn and daughter of Knight and Ann Dalby, departed life in Dangerfield, (Titus county now Morris county) the 18th Dec., 1859. Sister Gunn was born the 16th Sept, 1817 in Granville, N.C. When an infant, her parents removed to Bedford county, Tenn. At age of 10 years, her father died. On the 17th Dec. 1835, she was married to F.B. Gunn. (The couple) moved to Shelby county, Tenn. In 1839, they removed to Bowie county, Texas. In 1844, at Elliott's camp-ground, she joined the M.E. church. She leaves behind a devoted husband, three sons and two brothers.
