Lynn Stewart
1928 - 2018

Early Life: Lynn was born August 17, 1928 in Milburn, Utah, to George Elmer Stewart and Flossie May Christensen Stewart. He grew up with six brothers and three sisters, so he always had built-in friends. His father passed away when Lynn was only 14, so he spent a lot of time helping his mother around the farm as a youth.
Life’s Work | Service | Interests: Lynn married Maurine Robertson on September 27, 1950 in the Manti Utah LDS Temple. A month later, he was off to basic training before serving his country in the Korean War. He missed the birth and first nine months of their first child. After receiving an honorable discharge in 1952, Lynn settled his family in Spanish Fork, Utah. He and Maurine had six more children and Lynn provided for his family by working at Geneva Steel in Orem, Utah. Lynn was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was willing to serve wherever he was called. He and Maurine served missions for the LDS Church in Nauvoo, Illinois, and also at the local Bishops Storehouse. He loved to attend the temple often to assist in the work of sealing families together. His greatest love was his family and spending time with them. Lynn will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He always cared for others and would do anything for anyone. Lynn Stewart passed away peacefully on January 20, 2018, in Salem, Utah. He was 89.
Survived By: His wife, Maurine; seven children: Linda (Kris) Christensen, Susan (Tom) Kronwall, Sandra (Craig) Haskell, Anne (Murray) Greaves, Steve (Lacey) Stewart, Mary (Alan) Hansen, Matt (Kelly) Stewart; twenty-six grandchildren and thirty-two great-grandchildren.
