ALVEY, THERESA RENEE', 58, of Shepherdsville, KY, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2016, at Norton's Hospital / Hosparus, in Louisville.
Theresa lived a most graciously simple life, and was gifted with many blessings. She was lovely, intelligent, and quite the "artistic handywoman" in furniture repair and refinishing. Most of all, she was a master gardener (by her on right), and spent decades lovingly tending yards and gardens for family, friends, and community. Theresa died, suddenly and tragically, of lung cancer. She graciously donated her body to science.
Theresa was preceded in death by her youngest brother (Kenneth Gregory Alvey), and her father (James E. Alvey Jr. ); her infant nephew (Gregory), and her niece and goddaughter (Hayley).
She is survived by her mother, Mary Kay Alvey; siblings Ed(June) Alvey, Steve(Janet) Alvey, David Alvey, Mickey Alvey, Debbie Johnson, Beverly(Keith) Owen, and Valerie Gray.
Theresa is also survived by many nieces and nephews -- great-nieces and great-nephews -- who will always remember her as their "Favorite Aunt".
