ALVEY, KENNETH GREGORY, 47, of Mt. Washington, KY, passed away Friday, November 20, 2009.
He was a self-employed carpenter who loved his work. He enjoyed fishing, loved music, and was a gifted drummer. He is survived by one daughter, Mercedes "Sadie" K. Alvey; his parents, James E. "Bud" and Mary K. Alvey; siblings, James "Ed" (June), Roy Stephen "Steve" (Janet), Charles David (Terry), Michael Wayne Alvey, Deborah A. Johnson, Beverly Owen (Keith), Theresa R. Alvey and Valerie J. Gray; 14 nieces and nephews; 12 great-nieces and nephews; along with many friends who loved and will miss him. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial in Penn Run Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
