Charles William "Chuck" Kaiser, 86, Vincennes, passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Chuck was born January 8, 1932, in Vincennes, the son of Clarence Edward and Magdalena (Bauer) Kaiser. He married Leona "Cricket" Hesher on June 28, 1952. He was a draftsman for Vincennes Steel constructing bridges for 41 years. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, received the Simon Brute´ Award and active at St. Vincent De Paul, also a member of the Vincennes American Legion and the Knights of Columbus. He was a craftsman and made many things out of wood around St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Chuck served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Leona "Cricket" Kaiser of Vincennes; children, fourteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sisters, and brothers,Kaiser of Vincennes and Clarence (Christine) Kaiser of Vincennes.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Anna Harmon; brother-in-law, Bob Harmon; and godchild, Mark Harmon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Rev. Dave Fleck officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home Vincennes Chapel, 313 Church St. A second visitation will be held Saturday from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM also at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Mt. Calvary Cemetery
