Margaret Jordan Parker, age 90, of Lovelady, passed away Friday, April 5, 2019 at Legacy at Town Creek in Palestine. She was born September 4, 1928 in Volga to parents, W.R. Jordan and Mamie Wylie Jordan. Margaret was the postmaster at Weldon retiring after 25 years of service. She was an active member of Weldon Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for more than 30 years, and a lifetime member of the Weldon Civic Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Parker; parents, W.R. Jordan and Mamie Wylie Jordan; son-in-law, Bill Freeman; grandson-in-law, Eric Puccio; sisters, Eloise Westmoreland, Ruth McDougald, Lucille Adams, Frank Alice Gardner, Doris Monk, Shirley Parker; brothers, Jack Jordan, Dick Jordan.

Funeral services for Margaret Jordan Parker will be held Monday, April 8, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the Weldon Baptist Church with Rev. C.F. Hazelwood officiating. Interment to follow in the Weldon Cemetery.
