Suggested edit: Graveside services for Mrs. Frank Allen of Rte 1, Fitzgerald, who died September 11, 1980 at Osceola Nursing Home, were held in Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald.

Mrs. Allen was born April 26, 1896 in Irwin County, the widow of Frank Allen, she ran a boarding house and was the daughter of Amos and Betsy Merritt Harper. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fitzgerald, and she had lived in the community most of her life.

Survivors include one son: Jack Allen of Fitzgerald; one daughter, Nell Kimble, Deland, FL; one brother, Wilburn Harper, Ocilla; two sisters: Mrs. W. L. Wingate of Willacoochee,
and Mrs. T. M. Purvis of Atlanta; one grandchild and three greatgrand children.
Paulk Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
