Mrs. Allen was born April 26, 1896 in Irwin County, the widow of Frank Allen, she ran a boarding house and was the daughter of Amos and Betsy Merritt Harper. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fitzgerald, and she had lived in the community most of her life.
Survivors include one son: Jack Allen of Fitzgerald; one daughter, Nell Kimble, Deland, FL; one brother, Wilburn Harper, Ocilla; two sisters: Mrs. W. L. Wingate of Willacoochee,
and Mrs. T. M. Purvis of Atlanta; one grandchild and three greatgrand children.
Paulk Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
