The funeral service for Mr. Wilburn A. Harper of Ocilla, who died Sunday, October 23 at Osceola Nursing Home, was held Tuesday, October 25 at Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Ocilla. He was 91. Rev. J. A. Clements officiated at the 2:00 p.m. service with interment in Ocilla Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jack Harper, John Hudson, Billy Wingate, Walter Tyler, Harry Mixon, and Don R. Vickers. The deceased was born April 24, 1903 in Atkinson County, GA to Amos Jackson and Betsy Elizabeth Merritt Harper. The retired co owner of H and M Grocery, he was a member of Ocilla Baptist Church and had lived in Ocilla most of his life. His wife, Eugenia A. Harris Harper and his daughter, Gene Harper Behrens, preceded him in death. He is survived by one granddaughter, Lisa Behrens of Ocilla; one grandson: Charles Behrens of Ocilla. Paulk Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
