Frank Allen dies; funeral services held Wednesday
Final rites for Frank Allen, 72, of 707 W. Ocmulgee Street, who died at 4:35 A. M. Tuesday, June 10, 1969 were conducted at 2:30 P.M. Wednesday from Paulk Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. C. w. Smith officiating. Interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were R. T. Deese, Phil Luke, Buddy Davis, Walt Defore, Spencer Walker and Raymond Moore.
A native of Pike County, Ga., Mr. Allen had lived in the community most of his life. He was the son of the late Tarver and Mrs. Martha Caroline Ballard Allen and was married to the former Miss Retta Harper and was a member of First Baptist Church.
Mr. Allen was a retired merchant.
Survivors include:
His wife, Mrs. (Rhetta) Frank Allen, Fitzgerald. A daughter, Mrs. Nell Kimble, Deland, Florida. One brother, Lamar Allen, Augusta, Ga. A sister, Mrs. S. E. Segraves, Fitzgerald. One grandchild also survives.
