Priscilla “Bitsy Jarvis” Miller 66, of Marshville, NC, died Sunday, October 25, 2015, at CMC in Pineville, NC.
Bitsy was born in Marion, NC, on April 28, 1949, the daughter of Jim Hiram Hensley ad Marie Willis. Her father died in 1972 and her mother married James Long, her stepfather. She and her family moved to the Derita area of Charotte when she was a teenager. In 1976, she went to work at Delmar Studios which today is known as LifeTouch. After more than 30 years of service there, Bitsy retired. She enjoyed spending time with her dogs but most of all, loved the time spent with family and friends.
Bitsy is survived by her son, David Wade Jarvis (Wife, Eileen) of Marshville; and a brother, Jimmy Dean Hensley of Marion, NC. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; the father of her son, David Wade Jarvis, Sr.; her sister, Barbara Jean Pipkin; and a sister-in-law, Betty Sue Hensley.
Service honoring the life, love and blessing of Bitsy will be held at Carolina Memorial Park of Harrisburg. 12015 University City Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28213. A graveside service led by Pastor Hugh Foy will be held at 2:00 PM with the family receiving friends at the graveside one hour prior to services.
In honor of the care and love they showed Bitsy, the family respectfully requests donations in Bitsy’s name to Hospice and Palliative Care of Charlotte.
