Barbara Jean Pipkin, 46, of Marion, died Friday March 3, 1989 in an Asheville hospital.
She was a native of Morganton and was a daughter of Mary Willis Long of Concord and the late Hiram Carnell Hensley. She was a member of North Cove Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her mother, are the stepfather, James Long of Concord; two sons, Ricky Frick and Randy Frick of Marion; two daughters, Deborah Lynn Hoover and Robin Denise Jordan of Concord; a stepdaughter, Melinda Strickland of Charlotte; a brother, Jimmy Dean Hensley of Marion; a sister Priscilla Jarvis of Charlotte; and seven grandchildren.
Services were at 2 p.m. Monday, March 6, 1989, in the chapel of McCall-Kirksey Funeral Home. The Rev. Earl Duncan officiated. Burial was in North Cove Baptist Church Cemetery.
