MaryAnn Olmstead, 76, of Omaha, died Monday, December 18, 2017. She was born August 11, 1941 in Rice Lake, WI to Alexander and Lillian (DuBois) Drost. She graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1959 then was married in Dobie on August 22, 1959 to Leo Olmstead. She raised her family, then earned her LPN from MATC in Madison in the 1970's, completing her education with an RN degree from Blackhawk Technical Institute in Janesville in 1982. She worked many years at Edgerton Hospital, then finished her career as a visiting nurse in 1991. They retired to Brill and she became very active in the community, including the Women of the Moose, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and the stamping club at the Rice Lake Senior Citizens Center. She also volunteered as a nurse, taking blood pressures around the area.

She is survived by her husband, Leo; children: Julie (Chuck) Arnold of Apex, NC, Jeanine (Mark) Olmstead of Omaha, NE; 7 grandchildren: Derek (Amy) Arnold, Andrew (Heather) Panebianco, Paul (Tristin) Arnold, Joseph Panebianco, Ben (Kelly) Arnold, Michael (Carly) Panebianco and Gina (Michael) Sanford; 9 great grandchildren: Josiah, Eliana, Lydia, Arizona, Gianna, Jack, Lucy, Vincent and Julian; 1 brother, Delvin (Barb) Drost of Rice Lake; many nieces, nephews, cousins, Godchildren, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death her parents; daughter, LeeAnn; siblings: Harvey Drost, Arnold Drost, Inez Merrill, Elva Drost, Edmond Drost, Verna Hrdlicka, Rita Louise "Frenchie," Roeser, Gerald "Pee Wee" Drost, Rolland Drost and Jim Drost.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saturday, December 30, 2017; 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church - Dobie with Father Dave Oberts officiating. Burial will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers are Derek Arnold, Andrew Panebianco, Paul Arnold, Ben Arnold, Michael Panebianco and Michael Sanford. Honorary pallbearers are Joseph Panebianco, Chuck Arnold and Mark Koskey. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Friday, December 29, at the Skinner Funeral Home in Rice Lake and for 1 hour prior to the Mass of Saturday at the church.
