He worked as a salesman in the local community at Oakes Pontiac, Campbell’s Chevrolet and Twin City Radio & TV. He owned and operated two local businesses, North Brothers Enco and later, Bob’s Bar Supply.
Following retirement, Bob and Eve traveled the roads of the U.S. and Canada in their RV before establishing a winter home in Yuma, Ariz. There, they enjoyed the company of many dear friends, as well as the warm Arizona winters.
Bob is remembered for his many hobbies. He was a pilot, a CB-er and golfer and he enjoyed all things automotive. Bob taught himself to play the spoons and joined with friends in Yuma to perform at their jam sessions. He was a master tinkerer and his family often marveled over his imaginative uses for duct tape and velcro. In recent years, he became a great fan of the Seattle Mariners.
Bob will be missed by his three children, Susie Giesy (Dalton), Steve North (Mary Lou) and Larry North (Toni); grandchildren, Amy Witchey, Breanna Giesy, Morgan Giesy, Lisa Gaudette, Lori Froschauer, Casey North and Kevin North; and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eve; three brothers; and a sister.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to staff of Providence Hospice, who provided Bob with such loving care during the final weeks of his battle with cancer.
According to Bob’s wishes, the family will hold a private graveside service.
