MIDVALE --Vincent C. Strong, 86, sweetheart, dad, grandpa, brother and uncle returned to his eternal family on January 14, 2000. Two sons, parents, brothers, sisters, and friends rejoiced in heaven upon his return.

He was born June 27, 1913, in Huntington, Utah to LeRoy Neely and Catherine Johnson Strong. He married Fay Webb on June 28, 1940, in the Salt Lake Temple. His wife, children, and grandchildren brought him great joy. He loved gardening, especially in his gladiola patch. He enjoyed vacationing with his children and grandchildren. Hobbies included photography, lapidary and making jewelry, music, reading, and creating with his hands. He was a High Priest in the L.D.S. Church. He retired from Hercules in 1976.

He survived by his wife, Fay; son Vincent (Janet); daughter, Colleen (Gary) Stevenson; grandchildren, Alan Strong, Bryan, April, Melodie, Scott, and Jeffrey Stevenson; sisters, Irma Turner and Catherine Newman; brother Robert (Bob). He was preceded in death by his two sons, Chriss and Craig; parents, brothers and sisters.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, Jan. 20th, at 11 a.m. in the Midvale 3rd Ward, 7825 So. Olympus St. (220 W.) Friends may call Wednesday eve. from 6-8 p.m. at the Broomhead Funeral Home, 12600 So. 2200 W. Riverton, Utah and one hour prior at the church. Interment Midvale Cemetery.
