Mr. Bramel was born in Christian county son of Charles and Maude Bramel. He was a retired painter and a U. S. postal clerk and was a member of Central Christian church, a World War II veteran and a life-member of Disabled American Veterans. He married Elsie Spalding Coulter in 1949.
Surviving are his wife; stepsons Noel Coulter of Woodhaven, Mich.; Bart Coulter of Southgate, Mich.; stepdaughters, Mrs. Carlyle (Rosemary) Dame of Jacksonville; Mrs. Delbert (Janet) Smith of Urbana; Mrs. James (Martha) Nalefski of Decatur; Mrs. Paul (Nancy) Shearer of Moweaqua; brother, William of Decatur; sisters, Pearl Moore of Illiopolis; Lucille Havener of Springfield; Mildred Beck and Lorene Preble, both of Largo, Fla.; 22 step grandchildren; nine great-stepgrandchildren.
