Marilyn Whitwell Hughes was born on October 31, 1936 to Ivan Paul Whitwell and his wife Faye in Auburn Nebraska. She left us on November 29, 2017 to live in heaven with those who passed before her.
She married Daryl Majors in 1955 and their son Lee Majors was born on January 22, 1963. On August 9, 1980 she married soul mate Bill Hughes who came into the marriage with sons Tim and Scott. Marilyn was a teacher for over 25 years, loved music, spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed visiting with her friends and family.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and many other relatives. Survived by her brother Ivan Paul Jr., her husband Bill, her son Lee and his wife Monica, Tim, Scott and her grandchildren Joseph, Logan, Matthew, Carson & Cayden as well as her forever friend and sister Bonnie Drewel.
Funeral services will be held on December 8, 2017 at Oakmont Funeral Home in Vacaville, CA. Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 with the Memorial service to follow 4:00 – 5:00. In celebration of her life please join us at Lee and Monica’s house after the service.
