Edna was born in Anderson Co, TX to Edmond Kennedy and Mary Jane Huddleston Camp. Her parents are buried in Ferguson Cemetery. She first married A. G. Hamby 30 June 1901 in Anderson County. She shares a stone with her second husband, Jessie Jasper Ferguson, who she married 12 July 1905 in Anderson County. Their son, Jesse Vernon Ferguson, and their daughters, Iva Ferguson Boatwright, Luna Franklin Ferguson Brumley, Zadie Lee Ferguson and Maggie Vernice Ferguson Stacks, are also buried in Ferguson Cemetery. Edna was residing in Palestine at the time of her death there. She was survived one son, Enis Andrew Ferguson of Splendora; four daughters, Mary Ardell Ferguson Hanson of Elkhart, Iva Pearl Ferguson Wilkes, Luna Ferguson Brumley, and Maggie Vernice Ferguson Stacks, all of Palestine; one brother, Elzie Camp of Baytown; four sisters, July Camp Ashley of Palestine Ethyl Camp Dodson of San Antonio, Mary Lee Guest of South Dakota and Callie Camp Scott of Baytown; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Her obituary appeared in the Palestine Herald-Press, Sunday, 6 July 1949.
