Clarence R. Gray, Jr., 81, of Dolgeville, New York, passed away peacefully on Thursday afternoon, November 30, 2017 in the comfort of his home with his loving family with him.

He was born on December 15, 1935 in Lassellsville, New York and was the son of the late Clarence and Annamae (Smith) Gray. He was educated in Montgomery County schools and worked at various farms at a young age.

On September 9, 1956, Clarence was united in marriage to his beloved Jennie E. Gay at the Fort Plain Methodist Church. They shared a blessed union of 59 years until her passing on September 8, 2015.

He was employed by Redco Foods in Little Falls, New York for over 30 years. After his retirement, Clarence started his own auto sales business called C.G. Auto Sales which he operated from his home on Lyon Road in Dolgeville, New York for many years.

In his spare time, Clarence enjoyed playing his guitar and singing as he was once in his family band called "Sounds of Country". He also liked repairing small engines, camping with his wife, and was a huge animal lover especially his canine companion, Timber and his feline companion Hellar. Clarence will be missed dearly by his family.

Clarence is survived by his beloved children, Tina Dedicke and her husband, Richard Hamilton of Newport, NY, Toni Lambert and her husband, Rodney of Nelliston, NY, Tuesday Carpenter and her husband, James of Dolgeville, NY, and Clarence Gray, III and his companion, Dotty Perkins of Dolgeville, NY; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Alma Hoyer and her husband, Robert of St. Johnsville, NY, Robert Gray and his wife, Shirley of Canastota, NY, Roberta Mead and her husband, Larry of Herkimer, NY, Daniel Gray and his wife, Patricia of Canajoharie, NY, Beverly Myers and her husband, Jay of Canajoharie, NY, and Marilyn Williams and her husband, Ralph of Interlachen, FL; several step brothers and sisters; many in-laws; and many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his sister and brothers, Louise, Leonard, Kenneth, George and Norman.

In keeping with Clarence's wishes, there will be no public calling hours or services.
